Verizon Wireless And LG Mobile Phones Introduce Ultra-Lightweight High-Speed Data Phone

Verizon Wireless VX1 Clamshell Handset Provides Seamless Access to the Express Network

It's chic, it's cool and it's fast. The new Verizon Wireless VX1 by LG Mobile Phones allows users to access Verizon Wireless' high-speed Express Network with one of the smallest and lightest tri-mode digital phones on the market. The Verizon Wireless VX1 is the 3.8-ounce answer for those who want high-speed data access with high tech style.

The Verizon Wireless VX1 has slick packaging and wow-factor functionality that can be used with a laptop to access Verizon Wireless' Express Network, the nation's only high-speed wireless data network with a sizeable footprint. Verizon Wireless, the nation's largest wireless carrier's Express Network subscribers can access their e-mail, company network or Internet at average data transmission speeds between 40 and 60 kilobits per second with bursts up to 144 kbps.

With its crisp graphics-capable screen display, four-way mouse key and predictive text input capability, short text messaging-oriented consumers will also find the Verizon Wireless VX1 is ideally suited for sending and receiving text messages and images. Verizon Wireless recently announced that its customers with two-way messaging capable phones can send and receive text messages from most wireless customers - regardless of the carrier -- through its Mobile MessengerSM service.
